Gianni fell in love with Erica in 1996 and after just 4 months of dating, he proposed. Erica, born and raised in Argentina, came to the United States with a BA in psychology to continue her education in marketing and hospitality business. She is currently fully involved in the family’s restaurant business. Erica and Gianni have been married for 22 years and raised 2 daughters, now both in college. #MadeoRistorante #famiglia

Penne Madeo, a classic choice since the 1960s. This timeless recipe was perfected in Forte Dei Marmi and originally named Penne Maitó after Alfio's grandmother. Who’s the real boss around here? Elvira Vietina. She is the beholder of all the recipes at Madeo. There isn’t a secret menu, but if there was... Elvira’s tordelli would be on it. This pasta is made by carefully folding tiny ravioli filled with beef, veal, and vegetables. Bianca. The grandmother to Gianni & Nicola, the mother of Alfio, and a maternal figure of Forte Dei Marmi. Bianca was a self-taught chef who cooked for all the Vietina restaurants in Italy.
