Friday, October 23, 2020 - Red Cross Blood Drive - Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula at Hesse Community Park. Rotarian volunteers and donors supporting the community by processing 39 donors exceeding the goal of 30 donors. This event resulted in the collection of 43 units of blood collected which will save up to 129 lives. Rotarians doing the work of Rotary!

Friday, August 7, 2020 - Virtual Zoom meeting. Big meeting today! Induction of a new member, Carmenza Adams, from the Colombo Americano Rotary Club who was inducted by PDG Greg O'Brien. Carmenza was supported by Rotarian friends from the South Bay Sunrise Rotary Club, Yuko Saito-Rodriguez & Rosy Riera-Schwartz. Club Pres. Joining us today was PVE City Manager, Laura Guglielmo. Eileen announced the selection of Rtn Jennifer Jones of Canada as the first ever female Rotary International President Nominee (2022-2023). Speaker today was Leslie Wickman, Ph D, on how science and faith work hand in hand in the understanding of how the universe was formed.

Today, Friday, July 24, 2020 - The Zoom meeting of the Palos Verdes Peninsula gathered and we heard from our speaker, Lauren Dennis-Perlmutter. Club president, Eileen, stated: "Lauren’s entrepreneurial ability to pivot and re-cast her business is inspirational. Parents love her commitment to bringing out the best in every student. She brings creativity and energy to everything she does!

Keynote speaker Craig Needham shares the amazing and inspirational story of his mother, Jane Boyle Neeham, who was diagnosed with polio at the age of 29 and who lived in an iron lung for 13 years.
Friday, July 17, 2020 - Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club on a Zoom meeting included Laura Guglielmo, PVE City Manager, and yet to be inducted, Carmenza Adams. RTN Julia Parton and Suzy Zimmerman are taking care of the donated goods for the Camp Pendelton Marine families. While other contributions of food are dispensed at the Salvation Army. Our program speaker was past Vice President of HR, Honda Corp, retired.
