It is a shame that one of the absolute best solar panels on the market for the last 40 years is being forced into chapter 11 bc of its parent company in Germany. Solarworld USA has been a really great company for decades that has been giving support to the people of this country by manufacturing in Oregon. The manufacturing cost is higher and the quality follows as well. This is one of the best quality solar panels you can buy. This panel will most likely have zero issues fo...r the next 40 or more years. We will only put this on homes when someone is asking for them while they last. I hope they can find a way to stay in business, bc this is truly a fine product. After installing these over the years one can tell the difference in the strength and robust feel of the panels compared with other brands. If you were lucky to get these American Made panels on your roof then you most likely have nothing to worry about. It is a shame that soon there won't be an all American Made choice in yet another industry. There are still a lot of great panels on the market, but the loss of this one is a real shame. Since a few of the manufacturers have had to file chapter 11 this year, a fear remains that remaining manufacturers will start to raise prices now. I think LG and Panasonic will try as this is one of their biggest rivals. See more
