2021 SCMAF Umpire Trainings and Cerifications. The SCMAF Board of Directors approved to carryover 2020 certifications to 2021. There will be a $5 fee for umpires to carryover the certification. If an umpire was NOT certified in 2020, then a certification class and normal fee will apply. This weekend would have been our 6th Annual COED Toy Drive Softball Tournament in the City of Whittier. There was already a dark cloud over the event this year with the passing of Gary Rogers who was instramental in the planning of this tournament. Of course because of the pandemic, we can't host this event at all. We just want to say thanks to all the teams that have participated over the years and donated toys to the many deserving families in the area. We will be back next year but I hope if you can, you will still donate to your local charities that will need toys for this holiday season. Due to the state of California guidelines that still do not allow adult team sports, SCMAF is offically cancelling the Men's Tournament of Champions in November in Palm Springs. We are very disappointed to have to make this decision, but the safety of our players and families is our first priority. Thank you for your understanding. We hope to resume tournaments again in 2021. #StaySafe #softball

ALL SCMAF SOFTBALL TOURNAMENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30. SCMAF will reevaluate at that time and see if tournaments can safely resume. We appreciate your support and understanding. Based on the new information and recommendations from the state and county, we believe this is the best course of action and hope to resume programming in the late fall. The Men's Tournament of Champions (TOC) is still on the calendar. If state guideline change in the coming months, we are still looking at options on hosting the tournament. We will have another update at the end of September. Thank you.

We will be working with the counties and hosting tournament agencies to see how we can implement social distancing practices in order to host tournaments in the future.
