Mayor Brian Goodell and Mayor Pro Tem Trish Kelley have won reelection, according to the unofficial results from the Orange County Registrar of Voters. In Mission Viejo, two seats were up for two-year terms. Mayor Goodell was first elected to office in 2016. Voters first elected Mayor Pro Tem Kelley to the Council in 2002. She retired from office in 2014 due to term limits. After a 2-year return to the private sector, she was elected again in 2016.... The City of Mission Viejo continues to monitor the #BondFire, which possibly began with a house fire in Silverado Canyon. As of 4:30 pm today, there is no immediate fire threat to #MissionViejo from the more than 7,200-acre fire. Early morning, the City activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to the fire burning in Silverado/Williams Canyon.
