Busy Saturday at Roberts Family Development Center, just working around the main hall renovation. CSUS Cooper Woodson Scholars were on the site doing there ann...ual community service. Led by Dr Andre Moore, this group of Sac State students are committed to serving those in need. They delivered 200 packages of blankets and gloves to those needing support. As we have for the past 9 months, in partnership with South Sac Christian Center we delivered 60 boxes of groceries and chicken of course, to families in our network. Roberts Family Development Center leaders along with the Cooper Woodson Scholars at CSUS, gathered today (in a Covid compliant manner) to put together winter necessity bags for our homeless community members at our Annual Warmsgiving event. Also, we want to give a big shout out to our collaborative partners whose donations to our annual event provide these much needed items. Thank you to our local Grocery Outlet for the bags, Mutal Assistance Network for the oral hygiene products and to all others that donated items too. Each bag contains a blanket, hygiene products, a warm beanie, gloves, socks, masks for Covid protection, and the warmth and love from each volunteer that will be delivering them today!
