"After her win, H.E.R. noted how it arrived at such a timely moment: "I couldn’t think of better timing to win something like this. This film is educating people. I know more about Black Panthers because of being a part of this film'"

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Kollaboration 31.03.2021

As an organization committed to empowering Asian American and Pacific Islanders, Kollaboration is horrified and sickened with the attacks against Asian Americans. To our friends and families, staff and volunteers, and artists and alumni, especially @kollabatl and @kollabsf where our AAPI communities have been devastated, we grieve with you and stand in solidarity with the victims and their loved ones. The past few months have been gut wrenching, witnessing senseless acts agai...nst our AAPI communities. According to @stopaapihate there have been nearly 3,800 hate incidents against Asian Americans reported in the U.S. since March 2020. Our fears for our safety and well-being, our loved ones, and our communities continue to grow. We are outraged, hurt, and scared. To our artists, creatives, and supporters, our 20 year legacy and mission has demanded that we, as an AAPI community, are seen, heard, and represented with authenticity at its core. We will continue to use our platforms to fight against anti-Asian racism and xenophobia and advocate for our voices, our stories, and the safety of our communities. How can you help? Support and amplify the efforts of AAPI community organizations and coalitions @stopaapihate @hateisavirus @a3pcon Check in on your AAPI friends. Let them know you see them, hear them, and stand with them. Learn more about anti-Asian violence and hate incidents not shared in mainstream media @nextshark

CONGRATULATIONS TO GOLDEN GLOBES WINNER, MINARI ! ‘Minari’ is about a family trying to learn how to speak a language of its own. It goes deeper than any American language and any foreign language. It’s a language of the heart. I’m trying to learn it myself and to pass it on, and I hope we’ll all learn to speak this language of love to each other especially this year. - Writer & Director Lee Isaac Chung

Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for having a dream, fighting for Black Americans, and paving the way for several groups such as labor unions and the Asian American community. Today, tomorrow, everyday, ask yourself: what are you doing for others? Some days it can mean joining a movement, and some days it can mean simply being kind to one another.
