First and foremost, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and financial support. It is hard to believe that this year will mark the 16th year of full-tim...e ministry as the director of the Kern County Fellowship of Christian Athletes. There is no way I could have made it this long without your support and encouragement. Together we have reached thousands with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have seen thousands of athletes and coaches give their lives to Christ. It is an amazing experience to see lives transformed for eternity through the vehicle of sport. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is working to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. It is our goal to see every coach and athlete enter into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. FCA works to make disciples through engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same. As I enter into my 16th year, I wanted to give you a quick overview of what we are doing. I oversee 15 high school huddle ministries and 2 coaches Bible studies. I have one-on-one meetings with coaches and pastors throughout Kern County and the Central Valley. I work with college and high school coaches, athletes, pastors and teachers through the various camp and campus ministries. I work closely with Hume Lake Staff to Co-Direct our Team Sports Camps which are impacting over 1,500 coaches and athletes annually. Through the various ministries we have distributed over 35,000 bibles and multiple FCA resources to coaches, athletes and students throughout California and the US. We are expanding our presence on social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. To say this year has been crazy would be an understatement. It seems the media and other outlets seem to fan the negative. We all know about the headlines that hit us on a daily basis. Sometimes I think we get so bombarded with the negative that we forget the positives in our lives. As this year winds down let’s take some time to reflect on the good and the fun that this year held and let us look forward to a great 2021 where we can make an impact on the people and the world around us. As we watch the final month of 2020 come to an end. I want to leave you with a dream and a challenge. I want to distribute 2,000 Bibles to athletes and coaches and provide scholarships for 200 athletes to go to camp in 2021. It will take $20,000 for Bibles and $20,000 for scholarships. Let’s end 2020 with the 2020 dream challenge. I am humbly asking that you consider giving to the future and make an end of year gift to impact 2021 for eternity. Prayerfully consider making a gift to the 2020 challenge to impact the lives of coaches and athletes next year. I am grateful for all of you and thankful that you have allowed me to continue taking the good news of Christ to our community and beyond. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
