It’s been a couple of years in the makingcarefully crafted by my friend and author, Richard Botkin and now Always by Your Side, Winning on the Entrepreneurial ...Battlefield with Mark & Marcus Haney is published! The book sits on my desk, a picture of Marcus and I co-hosting the radio show on the cover. Written mostly from Marcus’ perspective, Always by Your Side reflects on a portion of my family’s entrepreneurial journey interwoven with the stories of several notable guests that we’ve interviewed on the show. Marcus likens many of the challenges and hardships faced by these intrepid entrepreneurs to the experiences he had on the battlefield as a Marine and shares how many of the same leadership qualities and character traits are forged as a result. The book first and foremost is a gift to our family. Thank you Richard for pouring your talent and energy into this project! It’s also a reminder to me of where I started, WHY I started, and how far I have to go. The book is about fighting the good fight, playing the hand you’ve been dealt, blessing others, and above all, never quitting.
