PLEASE READ As things are ever changing with the current status of the COVID-19 situation across the state, country and world, we, at WINGS, are doing our best to keep everyone in the loop and as up to date as possible. Our office is OPEN / Our fleet is FLYING / Our staff is AVAILABLE ... **All of the above are being adjusted daily, if not weekly. *Some staff members are taking some off from flying, but are still available for their students. Our office and management staff is always available via email at [email protected] *We are working towards a voicemail system that can be accessed from anywhere by management. Currently it is only available in the building. *If you make a SAME DAY or EARLY/LATE reservation and you are unsure if our office will be staffed at that time please call the front desk and EMAIL SUPPORT to confirm office accessibility. *During this worldwide pandemic and times of uncertainty, we are doing our best to continue to provide our fellow aviators and aviation enthusiasts with a SAFE, CLEAN & FUN learning and teaching environment for everyone. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all of the continued support and love we have received over the last few weeks. REMINDER - Effective Thursday, August 15, 2019, the Nut Tree CTAF will change to 122.85. The August 15 date coincides with the next publication date for the San Francisco sectional. other FAA charts and data bases. Commercial online aviation websites may lag several days. VCB Pilots can expect that pilots unaware of the CTAF change will be using 123.05 after August 15.hursday, August 15, 2019, the Nut Tree CTAF will change to 122.85. VCB Pilots can expect that pilots unaware of the CTAF change will be using 123.05 after August 15. - It is recommended that pilots with dual Coms monitor 122.85 a couple days prior to August 15, or use a handheld radio if available. - The airport is also requesting assistance from local pilots on the ground to monitor 123.05 starting on and after August 15. - As allowed by the FAA - a NOTAM will be issued 72 hours prior to activation of 122.85. - Airports within the region were recently notified by the Airport. Please also get the word out to other pilots that use VCB. Make sure to note that the CTAF will not change until August 15. Please feel free to contact the Airport office with any questions.
