It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden passing of Brian Uyemoto this past Saturday. Brian joined the APA in the Summer of 2005. Since 2007 he has played on his 8 Ball team Sloppy Joes and 9 Ball team Hot Pockets. He also participated in almost every Southwest Challenge both 8 Ball and 9 Ball. In that time he touched a lot of people with how kind and genuine he was as a person. ... My deepest condolences go to his teammates, family and friends. Brian / B often participated in the annual Thanksgiving "Run to Feed the Hungry". The run benefits Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, the largest nonprofit provider of basic human needs in Sacramento County. The family's wish is for the donations in B's name to stay local and feel this organization will honor B well. Attached is a picture of B at the 2009 run.
