Dr. O'hearn Introduces Himself and Shares his Thoughts on the College

The Decision has been made! Dr. Christopher C. O'Hearn has been selected to be the permanent Superintendent/President of Victor Valley College. Here's a short bio of our President: O’Hearn, who has a home in Apple Valley, has been leading the college since Silverman’s absence. He was initially hired by Silverman in July 2008 to help lead the effort to restore the college’s accreditation status which was successful and moved in to the role of vice president.... O’Hearn has worked at several California community colleges, including serving as president of Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, interim dean of instruction of Napa Valley College, president of Mission College in Santa Clara and vice president of instruction at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Before working for VVC, O’Hearn served on the committee that placed VVC on an accreditation warning list. He has a doctorate in higher education from Capella University.
