Good morning Coast Vet friends and family, We wanted to give you all a heads up that Coast Veterinary Clinic will be closed this Thursday and Friday in celebration of Thanksgiving (and to provide a much-needed break for our wonderful team!). We will be back in the hospital on Monday, November 30th at 7:30 am. As Thanksgiving approaches, I also wanted to reach out and say thank you for your continued support of Coast Veterinary Clinic during these incredibly trying time...s. You are an amazing community that we love so much! Your support and words of encouragement mean more to us than you will ever know. As Dr. April Bessett and I continue to learn and improve as the new owners of Coast Veterinary Clinic, we will strive to provide the highest standard of care for your dog and cat family members. We are also grateful for our incredible staff and appreciate the hard work, positive energy, and dedication they have to our patients and their wellbeing. So, thank you to Dr. Duane Stephens, Liz, Karly, Ashley, Gabby, Austin, Breck, Natalie, Sarah, Tyler, and Alison! We also wanted to let you know that as of last week, we officially launched our first ever website. Yes, what took us so long?! Anyway, please check out www.coastvetclinic.com and let us know what you think! We would appreciate and value any feedback you have towards improving the page! Additionally, we are working on improving our phone systems and have run into a snag with our message service. As such, for the next couple days our message service will be down so we will be unable to receive any messages. We are sorry for the inconvenience and are working on getting this fixed ASAP! Yay 2020! Last but most certainly not least, Dr. Stephens will be leaving Coast Veterinary Clinic as of December 11th. We wish him all the best as he embarks on his newest life journey! We are so incredibly appreciative that he stayed on for these past 6 months to help with the ownership transition. Having worked with Dr. Stephens for the past 12 years, I am so thankful for all the knowledge he shared with me throughout the years. He has been an excellent mentor, colleague, and friend and will be missed here at Coast Vet! We are so happy for him! Dr. Bessett and I will continue to work hard to serve this lovely community as well as he has for as long as he has! For many of you who may already know this information and have been asking where he is going, at this time Dr. Stephens is pursuing his numerous options. Happy National Cat Day! This is Meowky, Dr. Stack-Aguirre and Dr. Bessett’s 14 year old darling. Cats are often under represented when it comes to regular checkups and annual exams. If we haven’t seen your cat in over a year, please consider bringing them in for a exam!

This week is National Veterinary Technician Week. We are so thankful for all of our amazing staff and the hard work and dedication they show every day caring for your canine and feline family members.

Good afternoon Coast Vet family and friends, We are thrilled to announce that Dr. April Bessett has joined the Coast Veterinary Clinic family and will start taking appointments on Thursday, October 1st! Dr. Bessett is a 2008 graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and has 12 years of experience working at a local emergency hospital. She has a strong background in critical care/emergency medicine, as well as special interests in dermatology and in...ternal medicine. She is a kind-hearted, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable veterinarian, a loving mother to her two boys, and an amazing wife to Dr. Stack-Aguirre. As a new co-owner of Coast Veterinary Clinic, she has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for the past 3 months introducing many changes within the practice that are designed to improve the quality of care that we can provide to your wonderful dog and cat family members. We are excited for you all to meet her and are certain you are going to love her as much as we do! Stay happy, healthy, and positive!
