What a wonderful Christmas Party we had this week! Normally, we have a big Christmas party with music, games, and food. This year, our Christmas party looked a little different for our seniors - we gave them a gift and a box of Christmas treats, complete with a Christmas craft. To top it off, we had the most incredible group of carolers come to perform for us! They brought joy and music to our community as our staff did an incredible job giving out boxes of treats and happiness. We are so thankful that even in the midst of Covid, we were able to celebrate and have a Christmas party safely. General Purpose To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for both resident units and our corporate environments. This job is both a work and ministry environment. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities ... maintain all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition wash, dust, polish, vacuum and sweep all areas of the establishment clean sinks, tubs, showers, appliances and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards polish fittings and fixtures clean mirrors and windows sort and wash laundry using machines or by hand as required iron, fold and distribute clean laundry empty and clean trash cans listen and respond to resident's queries and requests ensure adequate stock of cleaning supplies keep cleaning equipment in good working order maintain clean storage area for equipment and supplies observe and report any maintenance issues assist with meal preparation, serving and clean up restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, replace dirty linens with clean items store all dirty laundry in line with company policy check all appliances in rooms are in working order deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms organize and restock cart at the end of the shift ensure confidentiality and security of guest room follow all company safety and security procedures report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observe and report damage of property assist kitchen staff with meal service and prep. Pray and share faith with residents Other job duties as assigned Knowledge and Experience high school diploma or equivalent preferred knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
