We had the great honor of celebrating Avice Beetler’s 101st Birthday with her! Residents at The Fountains at The Carlotta were delighted to provide 101 birthday cards in preparation for the celebration. Avice was excited to receive and read them, but admitted that it might "take awhile" to get to all of them. Neighbors and friends waved and wished her a happy birthday from the sidewalk outside of Avice’s terrace. When asked how it felt to be 101, Avice laughed and said, "It feels great!" The Fountains at The Carlotta associates are very creative when it comes to designing fun ways to present meals to our residents. Thanksgiving Day gave them the opportunity to have some fun while distributing traditional Thanksgiving dinners and goodies in cheerful to-go bags. Residents also received an unexpected "surPIES" with their room service meals a whole pecan or pumpkin pie in a hand-decorated box! Their smiles when receiving these goodies were definitely something to be thankful for.
