If you don't think the banning of natural gas will impact you as a service company or builder, let us provide a real world example. Symphony Pools in CA was trying to spec in a gas heater on a project and after many emails with the City of Santa Monica, they were told, "The intent is no new gas heaters. Only heat-pumps and/or solar thermal for heating." CPSA is trying to prevent cities in CA from adopting "reach codes" like Santa Monica did without first reviewing information in opposition. We need your support as there are 482 cities in CA and 32 have already adopted the code. Become a member now! https://thecpsa.org/join/

In response to SB 1159 passing in California that will stick employers with footing the bill for COVID-19 related claims under a workers’ compensation presumption, CPSA has collected resources and employee online training courses to help protect businesses. Click on the link below to read the full article and click on the resources listed at the bottom of the article. Employers should provide the proper training and safety measures to protect employees.
This effort arose out of an aerial surveillance study conducted by the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District, which identified roughly 7,500 properties that had an unmaintained or non-functioning swimming pool and about 1,350 were breeding grounds for mosquitoes. A second reading and review will happen on 9/2.
