Ray is a life long 2nd generation tailor of over 50, yes 50 years. His father founded the 1st black owned and operated tailor shop in Berkeley, CA. ... And we must mention, our memories of one of our mentors and teachers; the first tailor who helped launch #TheClothingCoach Alfio Pierantoni. RIP to a legend and lifelong tailor of over 65 years. Alfio is still missed and was truly one of a kind. He immigrated to San Francisco from Italy at the age of 17, and he was already trained as a tailor since the age of 9. Can you believe he only worked for 2 companies in SF? Over 60 years with the original Rochester B&T fine men’s clothing (since bought out by DXLG) and then kept tailoring to his last days helping launch The Clothing Coach. What an honor.
