As many other charities and nonprofit organizations in the world, this difficult and challenging year means Soroptimist International of Borrego Springs cannot hold our normal fundraising activities or celebrate our community's women in person. But due to the pandemic and the resulting economic dislocation, the needs of the women and girls of Borrego Springs are now greater than ever. To help meet these needs, we are holding an online campaign to raise the financial support n...ecessary to fund our scholarships and other programs, which are so important to our community, with a goal of raising $10,000. I am very thankful for a group of intellectual, inspiring, and empowering women who want to help and mentor other women and their academic goals. It means a lot to me that there are people out there, in my community, that not only offers you a scholarship to assist you in your educational expenses, but provides you with mentoring and advice from the group members and always make you feel so welcomed."
