While the 2020 Census has ended, we know that SF Counts! In a final effort to count every San Francisco resident in the census, the City of San Francisco partnered with community organizations to host a series of in-person census assistance events in four "hard-to-count" neighborhoods across the city. This Week of Action concluded with a census caravan that visited every district in San Francisco, followed by a rally at City Hall. The SF COUNTS 2020 Census campaign was made... possible through the collaborative partnership of the San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrants Affairs (OCEIA), community-based organizations, City departments, and the City Administrator’s Office. From March to October 2020, the SF COUNTS coalition counted thousands of San Francisco residents in the 2020 Census, after 2 years of outreach and education efforts. Help us lift up the stories of how DACA holders strengthen our economies, educate our children, care for our most vulnerable, and enrich our communities. San Francisco is proudly taking part of the Cities for DACA Campaign. This campaign makes clear that Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) holders strengthen the social and institutional fabric of our cities by highlighting holders’ stories and the positive contributions they make to communities across the country, as well as the negative consequences that ending DACA would have nationwide. The campaign also seeks to ensure that DACA holders and impacted communities have accurate information about the program, and know how to access local and national resources and services.
