**UPDATE** The northbound lanes are now back open with escorts through the area at approximately 35 MPH. Please drive safely.

Due to Icy Road conditions, the northbound lanes of I-15 at Kelbaker Road are currently closed. Estimated time to reopen is approximately one hour. Motorists will be escorted through the area towards the Nevada State Line once lanes reopen. Please be patient, drive slow, have food, water and enough fuel as you travel through the area.

CHP TO ACCEPT PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER APPLICATIONS The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will accept applications from January 14 through February 11, 2021, from individuals interested in a career as a CHP dispatcher. The written test will take place on March 22, 2021. This is an opportunity to serve alongside and dispatch for some of California's finest who provide the highest level of safety, service and security throughout the state. A career with a law enforcement agency... like the CHP offers unlimited opportunities and benefits for individuals looking for a challenge. The Barstow CHP Communications Center is establishing a list of qualified men and women from diverse backgrounds who are committed to carrying out the CHP's mission and making a difference in their communities. High Wind Advisory- 10/26/20, If you’re traveling on I-15 to or from Las Vegas, or on I-40 to or from the Needles area, expect high winds, dust and areas of low visibility. Please drive safe, have food, water and a full tank of gas in case you encounter heavy traffic.

All lanes of northbound I-15 are now open at Hodge Road.

I-15 northbound is still completely shut down at Hodge Road. Please seek alternate routes from I-15 using Hwy 18 to SR-247, National Trails Hwy/Route 66 to SR-58, or US 395 to SR-58 to get around the closure.

All Northbound I-15 lanes, approximately 13 miles south of the City of Barstow, are closed at Hodge Road for an active police investigation. Please use an alternate route such as US 395 to SR-58 to get around the closure. There is not an anticipated time for reopening the northbound lanes at this time.

Our Officers will be out in full force looking for impaired drivers and will be taking the proper enforcement action in an effort to protect those traveling on our roadways.
