The Sarah Mooney Museum is requesting community input for our mural, The Fabric of Our Heritage. The mural will be painted on panels by community members and mounted on the top of the south- facing wall of the Kings County Office of Education building adjacent to D Street --- across from the Lemoore Travelodge Motel. The mural will be a patchwork quilt motif on which quilt pieces will respectfully represent the various... nationality/ethnic/cultural and military groups that make up our community. If you have ideas and/or sketches of signs or symbols, please e-mail them (before August 27 th ) to [email protected] to be considered for inclusion. The following list may be modified depending on the input we receive: Tachi Indians Europeans African Americans Mexicans Azoreans Filipinos Chinese Japanese Southeast Asians Indians/Pakistani’s All Military Branches Thank you!
