SRSA is delighted with the addition of new outdoor gym equipment! Two more stations coming soon. The outdoor gym was a funded initiative by Blue Zones Project - Monterey County to encourage a healthy lifestyle among the community.

The City of Salinas closed its parks as a result of the Shelter in Place Order. In an effort to support several public health recommendations that are aimed at protecting our community from the spread of COVID-19, the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex will remain closed until further notice. Our organization, as well as league officials, will continue to monitor updates from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as public health officials. NO CHARGE FOR PARKING at the Salinas Regional Soccer Complex this year. Parking will remain FREE for the remainder of the soccer season. SRSA and the Soccer Leagues were contemplating charging for parking for the following reasons: 1. Parking has not been controlled which allows more cars into the lot than can fit and as a result: cars are parked in planters, on the adjacent future field, double parked and in areas that obscure visibility and may be a hazard to children. 2. ...A parking fee is an incentive to carpool. Carpools will reduce the number of cars. 3. We encourage walking, bike riding (bike and skateboard racks coming soon) and the use of public transit. 4. We’re developing a parking lot design for cars to drop off and pickup players SAFELY. 5. We have important financial needs to continue to provide an excellent Soccer Complex. Parking fees paid by people that want to park vs. walk, bike, drop off players or take transit, are paying by their choice and they want to know the money is going towards a good cause. 6. It costs money to do a good job of managing parking and maintaining a safe and secure place for cars and children. Our future parking system will keep the parking lot from overfilling, will direct cars to the safe drop off area, will put cars into open parking spaces and will help with inflow and exit of cars. All decisions are made with the Leagues that play at the Complex. If you have concerns, please contact your League leadership so your best ideas can be represented.
