Full transparency and keeping our guests and employees safe is our top priority. Today we learned that one of our Torrance team members tested positive for COVID-19. This team member’s most recent shift was an opening shift on January 3 from 6am-11am. This employee was masked and followed all required protocols for safety. As such, starting today Tuesday, January 5 - we will be temporarily closing our Torrance location in order to facilitate the rest of our staff getting ...tested, and to thoroughly clean and disinfect the shop. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we must put the safety of you and that of our staff first. As a small business in our community, we deeply appreciate your understanding during these challenging times. We look forward to getting back to serving you the World's Freshest Doughnuts as soon as possible, and in the meantime, we invite you to visit our other locations in Costa Mesa, Santa Monica, or Del Mar. Since Day 1, all of our shops have taken every precaution necessary to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers, by adhering to all local, state, and federal guidelines. We've implemented extensive protocols in response to COVID-19, and will continue to practice them at all our locations. Following are some of the measures we have put in place: - All of our front and back of the house staff are wearing gloves and masks at all times; and we require all customers to wear masks upon entering any of our shops. - We sanitize our shops every 30 minutes, and our registers are wiped down after each transaction. - We have installed plexiglass shields at our registers. - We have placed markings on the ground 6-feet apart on which people need to stand while waiting in line. - We have an employee limiting the number of guests in each store to two (2) parties at a time. - We have temporarily discontinued the use of reusable drink and dishware, as well as our bring your own mug program; and only using to-go/disposable containers.
