Dear PCS Families, We would like to take a moment and address *the* Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. First of all, we would like you to know that just in our regular daily routines, we have been implementing every one of these recommended guidelines since the beginning of the school year, and we will continue to do so. We use the pink stuff, also known as Re-Juv-Nal, on just about every surface, including but not limited to, drinking fountains, desks, countertops, Chro...mebooks, doorknobs, and other heavily used areas of the school daily. Re-Juv-Nal kills off the vast majority of all things scary, while being non-toxic and quite safe to be used around children. But even though it IS safe to use around children, we do strive to use it before and after school as an added precaution since the safety of our students is our utmost priority. There is plenty of soap and water in most of the classrooms and in every bathroom, and many stations around the campus with hand sanitizer as well. Students are encouraged to wash hands multiple times throughout the day. We also encourage all students, teachers, staff, and families to follow the recommended guidelines from the California Department of Public Health to protect themselves and those around them from all things viral and icky including respiratory viruses like COVID-19. Please review these with your children at home, and we will be encouraging these guidelines around the school as well: -Avoid sharing water bottles, ice, or snacks at school (this is against school policy and nothing new). -Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. -Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands, and pretty much ALWAYS. -Avoid close contact with people who are sick. -Stay away from sports practices, work, school and other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms like fever and cough. -Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing with a fully covered flexed elbow (not in the hands). -Avoid spitting. We will continue to closely monitor this situation and do what is in the best interest in keeping our families healthy and safe. Hello PCS Families, It is with a heavy heart that we let you know one of our beloved former PCS staff members has gone to be with the One she loved and served for so many years - Jill Guppy passed away on December 19, 2019. Mrs. Guppy was a great servant of our school in our Extended Day Program from 1996 - 2013...she deeply loved the children of PCS and it showed in all that she did. ... There will be a celebration of Mrs. Guppy's life on March 6th, 1:00pm, at Green Valley Community Church.

Hello again!! Thank you all for your patience with the unpredictable power outages... We are still not sure whether or not PCS will have power tomorrow, but regardless of our status, we ARE going to be open for school on Tuesday, October 29th. We have battery powered lights en route, and plans in place to do our best to carry on as usual - including extended day before and after school, hot lunch, and after school electives. Due to high winds in the area and PG&E's shut down, PCS has no power, and school is officially closed tomorrow, Monday, October 28th.. we will keep you updated regarding Tuesday as best we can.

Good morning, Providence Christian School! We wanted to give everyone a head's up - there is a good chance that there will be NO power at the school on Monday - we will update you as soon as we know for sure, but please make alternate plans just in case we indeed closed due the power outage.
