Big shout out to Roxana Madrigal! She has really locked down her eating habits and has met her goal the last few weigh ins. As of Wednesday she is officially 20 lbs lighter and so much stronger. She has really impressed the last two months and has become UNSTOPPABLE!

Good Morning! Here is a simple #quad exercise for anyone looking to isolate that muscle or who might be experiencing knee pain. 1.Pick the appropiate size swiss ball. 2. Sit down and roll forward so that the knee of the leg you are working on tracks over the foot. 3. SLOWLY drive your foot against the floor to straighten your leg. Focus on squeezing the #quad of the leg you are working on. 4. Slowly return to the starting position. ... BONUS!!! Drag your non-working heel across the floor for added resistance. This exercise is great for recruiting muscle fibers in the quad to help build strength and endurance. When working towards a goal it is important to focus on the bigger picture. For the majority of us, progress is not linear. Often times the number on the scale can change drastically and we can become discouraged if we gain weight when it comes time to weigh in. By using visual tools we can see that although we might have gained weight, overall, the trend is a loss. The client in this graph experienced weight loss and gain over the course of her training (the peaks and valleys of the blue line). However, the red line shows us that ultimately weight was decreased. Focusing on the bigger picture and staying consistent with training and nutrition resulted in a loss of 15lbs.
