We are so fortunate. 2021 is bringing us another gifted teacher! Courtney Parkyn will be teaching Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9am Vinyasa starting next week January 12th. Check out our schedule and join us for 2 weeks of yoga for $19.

Here's a *trick* for you today to help with the temptations on this candy-filled holiday: eat more root veggies! Although naturally sweet, when you roast or bake them, they caramelize and become even sweeter...perfect for curbing any pesky sugar cravings. Try a warm bowl full of roasted root vegetables with a white balsamic maple drizzle. Happy Halloween!!

If your energy flows more freely you will manifest the things you want quicker. Try a little meditation in the morning before you start your day. It helps the body be relaxed and ready for understanding or direction to change. Problems will be resolved easier and connections to other people, places or things will become stronger and require less effort.
It is a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY when you can share news like Michelle McKay Yoga teaching at our studio starting Monday November 2nd!! She will be there Monday and Wednesdays 9-10:10 offering a Mindful Yoga class and it can even be streamed so be sure to check out her classes live or at home. What makes her special besides all her knowledge and trainings is that her sense of humor really comes out in her teaching and seeing the evolution in her students brings her great joy!!

Have you missed classes with Suzy Gill as much as I have????? See post below but she has finally found a new yoga home to teach at Orange County Yoga Studio and will be starting next month. I am counting down the days down till she starts!!
Teacher Tuesday Highlight on a bright light that some of us may know and some may not know yet but ALL will love. We are excited to announce the amazing Suzy Gill will be teaching at our studio starting November 1st. Below is a little more about her but stay tuned for her schedule so you can come and find out personally how amazing she is!! Suzy Gill has been practicing yoga since 1987 with extensive study on the primary and advanced series of the Ashtanga yoga practice, t...hrough her guru, Tim Miller, of the Ashtanga Yoga Center, Encinitas, California. She has been teaching yoga since 1994. She has primarily taught for Yoga Works for the past 17 years, as well as a few local, grass roots studios. She has extensive experience of teaching a variety of classes, such as; Ashtanga Yoga -guided and Mysore style (adjustment only) practice, Vinyasa flow, Hatha and Yin yoga. Today she has combined her knowledge of the study of Ashtanga yoga into her own original choreography in the practice of Vinyasa Flow. In this style of practice her emphasis is on the continuous flow of movement in order to build heat, stamina and focused awareness. It is at that point which she brings attention to a technique-based, research part of the practice, where you will learn through step by step instruction toward some of the more challenging poses. Her Hatha yoga instruction is focused on alignment, foundation and balance. And, as for her teaching of Yin yoga, she will offer longer held poses in order to bypass the larger muscles of the body so that you can directly penetrate and stimulate the connective tissues. This applied emphasis is in order to remove tension and toxins that build up and store in the major joints and tissues of the body. In Yin yoga, her instruction is on detailed information and explanation of what you might be benefitting from both physically and emotionally. All ending with a finishing sequence to cool and relax the body and prepare it for rest to restore the body, mind and central nervous system. In essence, she strives to offer balance, awareness and serenity to a complex understanding of the process of yoga.
