My black brothers and sisters are frustrated. The system has made them this way. How do you expect anyone to react when you see a man dying under a mans knee. How do you expect anyone to just watch as someone kills someone for the color of their skin? It’s really hard to accept. I’m sorry for worr...ying about my business and not understanding everything completely. When I opened my business, my main focus was to be able service anyone that comes through my door. No matter what color, age, shape, religion, creed, whatever. I service regular civilians and law enforcement. It remains that till this day. My focus was to keep a neutral ground for anyone to come in. I was able to create a space where anyone can come in and voice their opinion where maybe we can come up with solutions together. I love what I’ve created and I cherish it very much. Last night because of the potential looting around the shop, I was afraid that I wouldn’t have an environment anymore where people can speak freely and without judgement. Let this be known, I want change for my brothers and sisters. I want to be part of the change. I will continue to do what I do to speak LOVE and TRUTH. Let’s do this together. Unfortunately this is not the case and they have delayed our opening indefinitely. The last correspondence we received was that we would tentatively be able to open on July 13th. Here we go. The moment we have been waiting for. Although we are still at the mercy of Alameda county, this is a big step forward. As usual, our appointment schedule is open a month in advance starting June 1st. We are hoping that Alameda County will find that it is safe for us to open. If they decide that we will have to wait a little longer, we will notify you that the appointment will be cancelled and that you will have to rebook your appointment. In the mean time, we suggest that you book your appointment in advance. Thanks and hope to see you soon!

We can do the most as licensed barbers. The issue is if someone doesn’t know they have something or they simply don’t care about anyone else’s health, including their barber, the spread won’t stop. Even before all of this, I would let everyone know if you are sick to reschedule your appointment. I would still have some coming in with a cough or whatever. I would then say, if I get sick, it’s worse because I can’t come in to the shop to cut anyone else, and it affects me providing for my family. The respect goes both ways. I do above and beyond what is expected of me to protect my clients, I hope and pray my clients respect me enough to do the same. Love and Respect. Kev (Nox)
