Sunday, October 2 Selichos, Shacharis and Hataras Nedarim (annulment of vows) 7:30 am Rosh Hashanah Candle lighting, 6:16 pm Mincha 6:26 pm followed by Maariv for Rosh Hashanah.... We go home to a with a holiday dinner complete with Kiddush, challah, fish and meat. It is customary to dip an apple in honey at this meal, and eat the head’ of a fish or ram. Sweet foods are eaten the entire holiday. We also eat a pomegranate. A pomegranate is full of seeds. So too we should be full of good deeds and merits. See more
