Congratulations to Dean Michael Hogue for winning the prestigious #LLUSP 2021-2022 Fantasy Football League! Assistant Professor Justin Kinney, who has dominated the league for the past two years, passed on the trophy to Dr. Hogue during a small, private ceremony last week.

Today is the day! The walkathon has begun! P1 students Richmond Custodio and Lynnette Valencia have been practicing for walks as they raise funds for the LLUSP Student Emergency Relief Fund. Are you in? Walk 'til you drop 'til January 25! #walkathon #llusp #livingwhole Additional Information: Dr. CJ Jacobson is ready to put up big money for those who rise to the challenge! He will donate $100 on behalf of the first team to collectively reach 100 miles... He will donate another $200 on behalf of the person who walks the most miles above whatever Dr. Jacobson walks. And he will donate yet another $500+ on behalf of the team that collectively breaks 500+ miles. In other words, starting at 500 miles, Dr. Jacobson will donate $1/mile. (The only caveat is that each member of the team must walk at least 80 miles.) Dr. Jacobson may throw out additional challenges throughout the two-week event Dr. Jacobson and his former classmates from the Class of 2015, Dr. Gilbert Rodriguez and Dr. Michelle (Adia) Healy, will donate $250 on behalf of the team who wins the "Consistency Challenge:" Highest daily average of steps/miles of all the team members by the end of the time period. (In other words, the winning team must walk consistent miles on a daily basis, not just knock out a bunch on the weekend.) Here’s how your team can win prizes for you to keep: Walk more miles than any other team Raise more money for the Student Emergency Relief Fund than any other team Come up with the most clever team name Demonstrate the most team spirit Demonstrate the best team effort. (This means all walkers will have relatively similar mileage, so that one single walker doesn’t carry the whole team.) Demonstrate your team spirit by posting photos on Instagram! LLUSP Instructor, Dr. Aimable Ngendahimana, has a special message for students: Dear All, This is to wish you a happy new year. Despite the fact that 2020 has been filled with many bad things, it is important to reflect on the positive things that also happened in our lives. As I contemplated on the blessings that I have received this year, I discovered that one of these blessings is undoubtedly in the students that I have been able to teach, guide and counsel and perhaps inspire to do better as they advance towards achieving their career goals.
