Our staff from the Specialty Team Center honored #WorldSpinaBifidaDay last week by wearing teal and creating a banner. Spina bifida is a condition present at birth when there are problems with the spine, spinal cord, and the surrounding nerves.

Ramirez’s last memory was driving to a hospital in Corona and being admitted on July 7. At the time, she didn’t know she had COVID-19, she only knew she couldn’t breathe.
Depression is not the same as being unhappy or "blue." It's also not a sign of personal weakness. It can’t be willed or wished away. Teens with depression can’t merely pull themselves together & get better. Treatment is often needed. Youth programs: https://bit.ly/2KNXDwN
On Fridays we wear pink. Well, our Specialty Team Center team does. All October you'll see them in pink on Fridays to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Each October, memorial walks occur across the nation to honor #NationalPregnancyAndInfantLossAwarenessMonth. Last Sunday, we hosted our 15th Annual 'A Walk to Remember.' If you were unable to attend, you can watch here: https://bit.ly/2FCVhmU and find remembrance activities.
Because you probably don't have your own hard hat, we'll take you on a tour of our third floor without even having to leave Facebook.
Because of donors like you, the Big Hearts for Little Hearts Loma Linda Guild LEGO Love fundraiser was a success! Each of these boxes of LEGOs will provide smiles to our patients.
While we may all realize how wonderful our caregivers are, there's something special about seeing the American Medical Association (AMA) Women Physicians Section highlight Dr. Courtney Martin as one of the honorees for the 2020 Inspiration Award. Thank you, Dr. Martin, for making a difference for our patients, their families and the professional life of others.
