In honor of #internationalwomensday the @lahcveteranscenter remembers a pivotal figure in our country’s history in US Rep. Edith Nourse Rogers. In Jan 1943 identical bills were introduced to both houses of Congress by Rep. Rogers. 6-months later Pres FDR signed the legislation, giving women all of the rank, privileges, and benefits of men in the US Army. ***Every Post 9/11 STEM major better recognize her name!!! The new Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship program started taking apps last Aug.
