BOULDER, Colo. Boulder Officer Eric Talley was among the 10 people who lost their lives due to an active shooting situation at a King Soopers Monday afternoon. Talley, 51, has been with the Boulder Police Department (BPD) since 2010. Talley was the first officer on the scene at the grocery store at 3600 Table Mesa Drive, where he was fatally shot, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said in a news conference late Monday.

Kisl...o’s neighbor contacted him and asked if he would investigate a possible prowler in her backyard. As he searched the yard he was shot five times by an unknown assailant. On September 1, a 50-year-old, unemployed painter, who previously dated Kislo’s neighbor, was arrested for his murder. Detective Kislo, 50, served with the LAPD for over 18 years.
