I was stoked to be a sponsor of the 13th Annual #Girlsontherun of Silicon Valley 5K race. Since I'm so passionate about exercise, it was a joy to see the girls enjoying a heathy morning of fitness & fun with their families.

Finished the Great Race, my favorite 4 mile hometown run. It was great to see friends and patients getting after it! And even better to recarb with a decadent waffle breakfast courtesy of the Eppling Family and Waffle Amore.

Early birthday celebration with nurse extraordinaire Ms. Paula who ROCKS the fuchsia scrubs, and the rest of the Menlo Medical Clinic crew. Thanks for helping to kick off my B-day, ladies and James Cox, thanks for representing Baltimore. It would not be a celebration without you!

If Obamacare doesn't work out, maybe I can find work as a baker. Happy Birthday Saxon.

To all of you "getting after it" in the New Year's resolution department, I see a lot of foot injuries during these first few months. Remember: build stamina slowly to prevent injuries. Runnersa weekly mileage increase of no more than 10% will help keep you injury-free. And don't forget to replace your running shoes every 300-500 miles. Sharpie the purchase date in shoe tongue as a reminder.

Usually I don't condone wearing high heels while exercising but in this case, I can make an exception.

Broken elevator? No problem! Dr. Ratcliff did a "car call" for Lorna today when she couldn't make it up the stairs to his office. Now that's service :)

A big thanks to Threshold Racing LLC ~The Splash and Dash Series is such a great kick off to summer. The race is a fun, grassroots, community focused event and it's easy! A 1-mile swim and a 3-mile run in and around beautiful Stevens Creek Reservoir capped off with unlimited pizza! Next event is Thursday, July 2. Be there to start your 4th of July off with a bang!

Loved running the Great Race on Sunday with my posse. We've been doing it for years. Loved the post-race bacon and fried egg waffles from the Waffle Amore truck even more!
