Hand in Paw

Khaleesi is hanging in there tonight. She is weak, lethargic, and has no appetite. She is being given nutrical every few hours. She has a jugular catheter in place to administer fluids and meds, because none of her other veins were viable. All she wants is to be held, so we obliged. Our awesome friend, Berni, took her home this evening to ensure that she had round the clock care, warmth, and cuddles. She will go back to the hospital in the morning for more treatment. Please think positive thoughts for her this evening And thank you to everyone who has donated for her care. We seriously couldn't do this without you. Khaleesi is an innocent, helpless victim, and all we want is to see her get through this.

Please, please, please stop buying dogs off of Craigslist or any other sketchy site. I have seen this situation dozens and dozens of times over just the past few months. It is tragic and heartbreaking. PLEASE understand that people who aren't legitimate breeders are solely in this for the money...they are criminals. This morning, we took in this TINY, one pound girl, named Millie. She was so weak she couldn't even stand up, and we didn't think she was going to make it. She was an unwanted pup who ended up in the right hands, and we are so thrilled to care for her and love her, and the best part is that it looks like she is going to pull through! She is eating well, taking nutri-cal, and starting to show her true personality. Millie is 9 weeks old, and she is a teacup chihuahua. She is ok with larger animals with proper introduction. Honey is fully vetted and healthy, potty trained, and a really well-behaved girl. The reason she is being rehomed is her adopter went to college, and the parents do not want to care for her.
