Let’s get ready for birth Let’s get down and dirty! Let’s dance between surrender and action. Let’s play with letting go and getting low. Share with the pregnant families in your life. Class is online so folks can join from anywhere

Here is a thing I do on Wednesdays. If you are pregnant and want to hang out and chat about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, let me know and I’ll send you a link. Last week, we talked about breech babies, fetal positions, working with partners to create a postpartum plan and the heart olympics of parenting. What will we talk about next week? It depends on who shows up and what comes up! Maybe we will chat about birth environments, the magic of asymmetry in labor, breastfeeding baskets, the big feelings of surrender or protecting our pelvic floor. I hope to see you there

This is how excited I am about our next Embracing Birth class, starting this weekend! If you or someone you love is having a baby in the next couple of months, ...get your seat. We are going to talk about the last month of pregnancy (it has 2,419 days), stages of labor, when to head to the hospital, when to call the midwife, how to make moose calls, making the most of epidurals, practice massage, positions and peanut balls, discuss induction and c-sections, dive into postpartum planning, get your questions answered and laugh at my bad jokes. Bonus... class is online so you or your loved one can join from anywhere Need more info, hit me up directly or go to www.thenestfamilyresource.org See more

Me and my baby, Princess Honeysuckle . . . I have given birth to her hundreds of times Here we are talking about how skin to skin is the most biologically appropriate place for mom and baby right after birth. (Yeah, I know my clothes are on but we gotta keep it PG on zoom, you know?)You might also noted my placenta is still attached but the cord has been cut at least five minutes after she was born. I like to teach through story and acting out as much as possible. I am g...etting ready for my last class in our October series tomorrow. I hope to see you in our weekly Embracing Pregnancy Group on Wednesdays at 11:00 or in our next November Embracing birth class. Holler if you need more details or have questions. www.thenestfamilyresource.com www.grassvalleydoula.com See more

I’ve had several hospital birthing clients ask about birthing, hospital policies and Covid. Here is a quick article that reminds us of our rights
