Spring is in the air, and our new Organic gardening project is off to a spectacular start! Pictured on this beautiful day are Chef Greg and Myrna, along with Amy, Nicole, Tina, Lily, Diana, and Kelly, who spent the morning shopping for edible flowers to plant in the garden.. GLENNWOOD ADVENTURE DAY 2020 (Pt. 2) * * Needless to say, 2020 has been among the most challenging and unconventional years for all of us.. LOVE. ADVENTURE DAY!! * * All were broken down into seven smaller groups of 5-7 (+ 2 staff), and each group gleefully partook of one of several fun activities that were hand selected by our wonderful staff! * * Group 1: Tanaka Farms @ Irvine, Pumpkin Patch Tour.. Riding in the back of a hay wagon and picking fresh herbs and pumpkins from the field to take home and decorate * * Group 2: Rogers Gardens @ Newport Beach.. Tour of all the "spooktacular" Halloween displays and surrounding natural beauty * * Group 3: Mayu Silk Art @ Huntington Beach.. Visit with our friends, Star and Phil, to make special Halloween masks and colorful tiles * * Group 4: Swimming at staff Jeanette Carrillo’s home and watching a Halloween movie with Myrna and Jeanette * * Groups 5, 6 & 7: Irvine Park.. We are back in action with a slew of "covid modified for fun" activities and events coming down the pike! Starting off, what better way to ring in the Fall than with some fun and festive art?
