Gilroy-Takko Student Exchange Program

Wow! What a delicious shabu-shabu dinner at Nabezo with these amazing students! It was the perfect last night in Tokyo. We walked 18.6 miles in 2 days! It was the best way to work up an appetite for our buffet dinner. We also explored Enoshima Island, the Edo-Tokyo museum, and lots of street food. Tomorrow we are going to do another walking tour and go to a flea market before we fly home. Japan!

It is an ice cream kind of day! Sweet potato and soda pop were the #1 flavors. We also did one of the top ten things to do around Tokyo, visit the Great Buddha.

We are trying sweet and savory foods at the Tsukiji Fish Market from Mochi balls to octopus to sea urchin!

It is our first day in Tokyo and the kids are having a blast! We visited the famous Skytree, shopped at Asakusa street, visited the Seneo-Ji Shrine.

Thank you to Takko and all of the host families for your hospitality! It was a wonderful sayonara party! We also had a great last day visiting the kindergarten, the blacksmith, the monk, and everything!
