Hi everyone! Here’s everything that’s going down this Xmas weekend: Friday, 8p - Xmas Toy Drive Come and bring an unwrapped toy and join in the fellowship as we celebrate Jesus’ birthday with songs and snack! We’ll be donating these toys to families who have suffered loss in the recent fires.... Sunday, 11a - Joint Service Let’s worship together as one church family as we celebrate the birth of our Savior! Please note that we will not be having our regular Ascend Service at 1:15p. Sunday, 4:30 - All Church White Elephant Rounding out our Christmas weekend is our All Church White Elephant. Bring a wrapped gift and join in on the fun! Dinner will also be provided. Hello everyone, Hope all your weeks have started well. And I hope that you and all your loved ones are safe. This past Sunday I announced that we pushed back re...turning to live in-person worship services from 7/19 to 8/2. However Governor Newsom announced yesterday that in multiple counties including ours all houses of worship must be closed. Unfortunately that means probably won’t open on 8/2 and we really can’t say for certain when we will be opening. Please keep our church, our state and our nation in prayer. And please pray for encouragement for KM and Rev. Bang as they have to shut down in-person worship. Peace & blessings pdan

Hi everyone, Hoping and praying that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. Both EM and KM have decided to go online starting this Sunday in response to ...what is going on with Covid-19 in our community and nation. If you have parents who go to BKC, please help them navigate thru this process. KM’s sermon will be hosted on their website (bkchurch.org) with a Paypal link for offering. I think the biggest challenge may be the Paypal part. Please help them navigate thru this. Let them know that a Paypal account is not necessary to give offering.and that they can give with just a credit or debit card. As for us, EM will be live streaming at our normal time at 1pm. More on this to follow! Finally, on a personal note. Please keep me in your prayers as I am running a little fever. I do not have any cough or other respiratory symptoms so I’m hoping this is just a bug and not coved-19. Regardless I am quarantining myself from the rest of my family and especially my mom. I have a phone appointment with a doctor tomorrow morning so I will keep you all updated. Please send me your prayer requests as well. I am lifting your prayer requests that I did receive and it’s been a blessing for me to do so. Remember... Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Hi everyone, I hope and pray you all have been having a safe and sane week. As our nation and the world is navigating through difficult times, so do we as a ch...urch. I have been in conversation with Reverend Bang about our church’s response and the decision is to keep the church open. Considering the number of people (we are well below the mandated closing of gatherings of 250 or more) and the space we have at our church, we can keep the recommended social separation of 3’-6’ as long as we are mindful. This is an ongoing conversation and I’ll keep you all posted here on FaceBook of any changes. Here are a few things: 1. Breakfast Club will be on hiatus until further notice. FYI, I will still be at church around those times if you want to pray. There will be no shared breakfast, however. 2. Please be mindful of washing your hands. I know there are only a couple of sinks in both bathrooms so it might be prudent to bring your own hand sanitizer. 3. Lunch will continue at our church. If you are feeling weary about eating lunch at our church, please don’t feel guilty about skipping it all together. I understand. We all understand. 4. We will be making our services a little shorter. There will be one worship song in the beginning instead of our normal 2. Prayer Requests: 1. Please keep our most vulnerable members in prayer, our senior citizens. Let’s pray that they will stay healthy during these times. 2. Pray for our leadership. That we will make wise and prudent choices that will reflects the hope we have in Jesus while considering the practical issues of the COVID-19 pandemic. 3. Pray for all the frontline workers - nurses, doctors, EMT, etc. - who are working so hard to contain and defeat this disease. 4. Pray for our government leaders. Regardless of your political leanings, they need your prayer. 5. Pray that people find solace and comfort in Jesus, the only one who can provide and guarantee everlasting joy and peace. Finally, please know that you all are in my prayers. And don’t be shy to let me know of any specific prayer requests you have. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Romans 12:12-13

Just a reminder everyone... we’ll be having a joint New Years Service with the KM at 11a tomorrow. It’s also a communion service so prepare your hearts for the taking of the bread and the wine. There will be no separate Ascend service tomorrow.

ALMOST MERRY CHRISTMAS! This upcoming Sunday (12/23) is joint-service at 11am! After service/lunch, we will have an Ugly Sweater White Elephant party...! Feel free to wear an ugly Christmas sweater and bring a gift that is $15-20. Snacks will also be provided, so join us for a fun time of fellowship! See you guys there! See more
