Building up a brand new 2276cc for a Manx! Gonna scream! Braap.

Took apart an engine today to check it and change the lifters. I found the dreaded silicone worm infestation. Today’s tip for home builders. Do not use silicone on a VW engine case. It doesn’t work and it makes worms. These worms go in your oil galley and block your oil from your bearings. I have pulled them out of bearings myself.

Re powered this 60 ragtop. 1904cc engine. New Transworks trans and new disc brakes. Now she cruises at 75mph with no effort.
