Starting this summer, New York City food establishments will be banned from using plastic foam packaging! This is a major step, now it's time to act on plastic bags!

Billions of plastic microbeads in personal care products, too tiny and buoyant for traditional sewage filtration systems, are flooding into our waterways daily, absorbing toxins and entering the food chain. You may have seen stories on the news recently of plastic microbeads being found embedded in people’s gums from their toothpaste! Check the labels and only buy products with nontoxic, biodegradable materials- the ocean and your body will thank you for it!
