Through the dedication of our insurance industry supporters, IICF continues to award much needed grants to nonprofits serving our local communities. IICF's Western Division held two virtual grant celebration receptions this week, covering both the IICF Colorado and IICF Arizona Chapters. Collectively these Chapters awarded approx $50,000 to 7 nonprofit organizations: Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels American Heart Association - Colorado Our Military Kids Playworks Arizona StreetLightUSA There With Care & TigerMountain Foundation - all focused on children at risk, education, and human services. This is a portion of the $354,000 in grants committed to 50 unique nonprofits across the west this year as #InsuranceGivesBack.

Thank you to our insurance industry supporters for helping to raise $6,500 to support local nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area at last night's IICF Fat Tuesday virtual fundraiser. Hosted by the Northern CA Associate Board of IICF's Western Division, this year the traditional Fat Tuesday Gumbo Cook-off transitioned to a virtual celebration with live jazz and mixology lesson. Guests also learned more about featured nonprofit Okizu, one of the IICF Community Grant Program ...beneficiaries in Northern California. Camp Okizu is a summer camp and peer support program for children with cancer and their families, with a mission of helping all members of families affected by childhood cancer to heal through peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs. Recent CA wildfires this past fall destroyed the majority of the campgrounds (more info: https://lnkd.in/gpe--QP) and the IICF Community Grants Program award supports the transition of camp programing to virtual to ensure community and connection remain consistent and strong.
