Does this look familiar? So often we become experts in our spouse's issues, and begin to blame-shift. If only we would just take the time to examine our own heart and focus on the "log" in our own eye, right? Biblical counsel brings all of us back to the reality of our own hearts, and where we need to start taking responsibility.

Many counselors avoid helping couples because it seems too difficult, too complex or too stressful, but that's my sweet spot. I love helping couples form a stronger relationship with each other and with the Lord.

The holidays this year will bring much more stress to our pandemic lives. I'll be giving a program about how to reduce that stress at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Laguna Woods on Nov. 21. Would love to see you there.

I love my new office in Mission Viejo. I've found the simplicity to be so calming for me and others as well.

Counseling during a pandemic can be challenging with so many people concerned about distancing, but we continue to do online/video counseling though. Technology can be such a blessing.
