Big (totally true) news coming out of the Impact Foundry today! After many nights of rigorous Google & YouTube searches, scouring the deepest think tanks of Facebook groups, and consulting with the loudest, self-proclaimed scientific experts in our family circles, our absolutely medically-qualified staff members have developed a new vaccine in the fight against indecision. It's the Tucker & Tucker single dose shot! Think you can't dance? Tucker & Tucker! ... Can't balance that budget? Tucker & Tucker! Need to impulse buy that item off Amazon, but afraid you really shouldn't? You guessed it, Tucker & Tucker! ......................................................................................................................................... April Fool's aside... get your vaccine, folks. We miss you all. Let's protect each other and get back to some normalcy. Sign up for your opportunity to receive the COVID-19 vaccine here: https://myturn.ca.gov/

Things have been busy. With funding from the CARES Act, in collaboration with @artsforsac and our thought partners at AMS Planning & Research, we led 14 organizations through a rapid, condensed version of our Certified Sustainable program. We are so proud of all the orgs that have put in the hard work toward creating a sustainability plan that will help them grow into the future. We will be with you as you work to implement these plans. You’re all amazing. Our membership manager Steven Dilbert and his partner Avery Elizabeth Scherer bought a house! Help us celebrate this huge life moment with them! Happy for you both!
Time for a new intern highlight! Today, it’s our USC intern Shenia Allen! What is your hometown and what’s your favorite part about it?... -I live in Southern Maryland, about an hour from Washington, D.C. I love being so close to one of the capitol where impactful movements and moments happen often. How do you plan on making your community a better place? -Systemic change creates a long-lasting impact on our communities that I look forward to being involved with. What is your favorite fall activity? -I'm the queen of comfy! So as soon as the weather is right, I'm napping in the fluffiest blanket I can find.
We are highlighting our new interns, who are awesome people doing awesome things for the Sacramento nonprofit community. Today, it’s Ash Lombardo! -What is your hometown and what’s your favorite part about it?... My hometown is Tucson, AZ. Although I have lived all over: Texas, Oregon, Japan, and now California. My favorite part about Tucson is a two-part-er. First you need to get yourself a Sonoran Hot dog from a street vendor. Then you need to eat it while staring at one of the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen. -How do you plan on making your community a better place? I plan on making my community a better place by promoting equity for all. This includes becoming a knowledgeable individual, and working with the community to find out what it is they want, and how I can help them achieve their goals. What is your favorite fall activity? My favorite fall activity is guzzling coffee while reading some sci-fi-magic-realm-dystopian-future book, in a puffy sweater that just might as well be a blanket. And just check out that #maskupsac photo!
Please help us spread the word! The Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture Creative Economy grant application period has been extended until October 7th! Apply today and share!

Our team and our community showing our commitment to the safety and health of others.
Yesterday was World Afro Day! We missed an opportunity to highlight our membership manager’s old hairstyle (before it fell out. No worries he likes being bald). World Afro Day is about bringing awareness to the stigma in society around natural hair and empowering individuals to love their natural hair. #worldafroday #positivebodyimage
