Some Friday Morning Motivation- THIS is what keeps US going. "I was on the way to my yoga class, when I noticed a man on the floor, and another woman standing above him crying. The woman left her car door open as she quickly came to see if the man she hit was okay. The man was on his skateboard crossing the street. I quickly parked my car and sat beside he man asking him if he was okay. He kept repeating that he was in 'a lot of pain' and couldn't move is left leg. He was b...reathing fine, so I made sure someone had called 911. They had already done so. I just stayed to comfort the man, as there was not much else I could do. I reassured the crying woman who had struck the man with her car that it couldn't be been MUCH worse! I tried to calm her down as well. He was on the sidewalk so he wasn't in harms way at this point, so I just stayed until the EMS arrived. Although I didn't have to perform CPR but I felt confident that I would be able to. Thank you A Plus CPR for teaching me the skills to potentially save a life." See more

Dr. Henry Heimlich, the 96-year-old Cincinnati surgeon credited with developing his namesake #Heimlichmaneuver recently used the emergency technique for the FIRST time himself to save a woman choking on food at his senior living center! An employee at the Deupree House in Cincinnati where Heimlich lives says the retired chest surgeon was in the room when an 87-year-old woman began choking. The employee says #Heimlich dislodged a piece of hamburger from the woman’s airway and... she quickly recovered. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family of Gynnya McMillen, a 16-year-old who was found in her juvenile detention cell unconscious.
