THE LAUNCH OF THE SAN DIEGO ARTS: Everything is now in place to begin launching our arts internships and educational programs. Our internship programs will go under the heading of SAN DIEGO ARTS. All programs belong to the San Diego Institute of the Arts, a California non-profit corporation. Please LIKE our main... page and volunteer page if you want to help volunteer or work at the Institute. Our fashion, photography and runway group is already launched and functioning. We had first model shoot on Sat July 14th and our first Runway modeling event will be at the La Jolla Summer White Party this Saturday, July 21st. As an arts group, we will be acting somewhat of a casting company. Through partnerships with the San Diego Children's Coalition, we will be reaching out to community, arts, and charitable events to open the doors for runway, modeling, photography, and more for young artists in San Diego County. To join the Institute and participate in the internship programs, there will be a nominal $35 registration fee to cover our insurance and basic operating costs. It's time to get excited! Casting of the 2012 Billboard Music Awards - May 20th Las Vegas Looks like casting is still continuing. I hear that confirmations will start on May 11th. I do not see an upper age limit for seatfillers but I think they're looking for a younger crowd for the mosh pitt because... you have to stand around for hours before the show and jump for 3 ho...urs during the show. I did the mosh pitt last year and I can tell u it is very exhausting! Also if you want to just purchase a ticket for the show the minimum price is $75 plus $11.15 fees. 2012 Grammy Awards We just got back last night from LA where we attended the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. What a killer show! Too bad u all didn't get a chance to join us. LL Cool J was the host. There were tons of incredible performers including Adele, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, the Beach Boys, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Aldean, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Bo...nnie Raitt, Maroon 5, Foster the People, Joe Walsh, the Civil Wars, and Diana Karl Oyston. I had a great seat. I was 3 feet from Lady Gaga and hung out with Thom Yorke from Radiohead all night.
