DEAR CLIENTS AND FRIENDS! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I've been MIA getting all of my computer systems in order - upgrading, updating and increasing their protection, taking numerous tax update classes all to BETTER SERVE YOU and to prepare for this VERY DIFFERENT tax season! TAX SEASON WILL BEGIN ON JANUARY 28TH!!! I WILL BEGIN MY FIRST APPTS ON Tuesday, JANUARY 22 but the returns cannot be sent until the 28th! The government shut down HAS affected taxes (despite what the IRS is claimin...g), there is NO LIVE HELP at the IRS right now, so if you are waiting for a resolution on a prior year tax return, an amended, needing transcripts, working on an audit, your case will not advance until the government shut down ends. The IRS is stating that CURRENT YEAR REFUNDS WILL NOT be delayed despite the shut down but until this begins we wont know for sure!
