December is "Holly, Jolly" FoLC (Friends of Los Cerritos, our awesome social committee), has been thinking of alternate activities since the Caroling event has been canceled. We came up with an idea that meets all the criteria set up by the Governor during the latest pandemic restrictions. It’s called, Chalk About...(a theme for the month). Your children and the young at heart, chalk a design in front of your house. This will be on the third weekend of every month. December’s theme is,Chalk about...Holly, Jolly. On December 18-20, chalk something that makes you feel jolly! Everyone can enjoy the artwork on their walks around the neighborhood! No prizes, just good clean fun! Happy Holidays, everyone! NOTICE! Cancellation of Sunday, September 6th Bixby Knolls/Los Cerritos Clean Street. There is an excessive heat warning starting 10:00 am Sat through to 8:00... pm Sun. In an abundance of caution for the safety and health of our volunteers, we are cancelling our scheduled Sunday, September 6th clean up. Litter will have to wait for another day. We love our volunteers, they are our number one priority! Please join us for the next scheduled clean up on September 13th, which will be at the SW corner near The Merchant on 4121 Long Beach Blvd. As a reminder... Clean Streets volunteers meet at 8am Sunday mornings at designated locations, and spend an hour or so cleaning up. We branch out based on clean-up needs and willing volunteers. You can volunteer as often as your schedule allows... every Sunday, or once a month or as often as you would like. No previous experience necessary and all ages welcome. BK/LC Clean Streets has the equipment, you've got the muscle. Sunday, the 20th Meet by Guadalupe's Mexican Grill, l NW corner of Pacific Place & Wardlow. 3431 N. Pacific Place.
