There will be no Halloween train rides this year. We look forward to ones again giving train ride’s but that will not happen till after the stage 4 restrictions are implemented. The members have been keeping busy preforming many upgrades to the landscape and facility’s.

Sorry to inform everyone that there will be no public train rides till further notice

Thank you to all the SCLS friends that came out to the Starlight train ride. If you missed it put it on your calendar for next year, on the third Saturday of December 12-19-2020

Unfortunately SCLS got tagged, there was no time to paint over it before we gave train rides to the public on Sunday 11-3-19 Understandably lot of riders were upset to see this. SCLS is a small group of all volunteers with a limited amount of time available. We where not looking forward to spending the time needed to correct this problem. We called the city of Torrance graffiti hot line. Fortunately on Monday and Tuesday they came out and painted over all of the graffiti. As you can see in the last photo they did a grate job at matching the original color on the red car. Lately we have been Experiencing some vandalism on the grounds. If you are going by SCLS and see something happening that looks suspicious please do not hesitate to call the non emergency police number at 310-618-5641 and report it.

Come out for a fun time! For your benefit we are trying a few new things this year. We have more trains that are longer so we can carry more passengers per train and the line will be more organized. We are thinking this should make for a much shorter time waiting for the train ride. There are no pre-sale tickets this year. Remember we only accept cash, no credit cards. As long as your group is in line by 9:00 pm, purchased a ticket for each rider, you are guaranteed to get a train ride. Also for this special event no riders under 1 years old.

Well it is the first weekend of August so that means Sunday Run day. We are open from 11 am to 3 pm this Sunday the 4th. Also put on you calendar the Halloween train ride on October 25th and 26th from 6-9 pm for $7.00 a ticket at the depot the night of.
