A GREAT foundation for life's journey, but why stop at 5 years old? K-8 OUTDOOR education would change the American landscape completely. Outdoor education and exposure combined with technology, VR & AI (which is unavoidable future) is balance and partnership, where each inform the other and no one aspect dominates.

Today, The children wanted to go to the beach! I supplied the coastline and they directed me to draw the children, teachers, blanket, shovel, toys, more children playing, and birds living on the rock island. Then they said, "That's enough now." we also wrote some silly words, " A is Ok and a Little Bittle Bay - just kidding. Okie okie okie. The lack of movement and physical sensory information for some children could be so unbearable that, well, judging from everything that I have read and seen up until this point, I am preaching to the choir. Here is something you can do while you observe the Shelter in Place order. The DIY LYCRA Hammock... You will also find these online, made to order. They will advertise as for Kids with special needs. Every child needs sensory input, (as do adults!) This is a steadily increasing NEED as outdoor, physical activity diminishes in favor of screen time and liability-fearful, over-protective institutions. SIP order or not, this is a great investment for your child and yourself. Regular use promotes self-regulation, supports internal organizing and processing information, stimulates and answers to a need of sensory feedback and physical sensations, provides womblike hugging, promotes calm and provides privacy and solitude. It Centers and Roots! If you are unable to drill into your ceiling, you can order an extra yard and tie the lycra around a table, (end-to-end) creating an under-table hammock situation. Today (due to our SIP order,) for our Zoom session, we co-created a forest school on paper. After drawing a horizon line and one tree, the children directed me to add, apples, another apple tree, kids hiking, more trees, more kids, carrots in a garden, sour grass, clouds, and more trees, and ids climbing the tree :)

Outdoor activities for Hours of good physical fun!!

The environment in which these 3 & 4 year olds become accustomed to is astounding!
