Got shoes? We will be collecting shoes for the homeless on Saturday April 24th at Hawthorne High School from 9am - 2pm.

Today is the last day we are collecting funds for our annual Turkey Drive benefiting the St. Margaret center and Lennox, CA. The turkeys will benefit the low income and homeless families that are registered with the St. Margaret center. If you would like to donate, please reply to this message. Hawthorne LAX Lennox Rotary Club in cooperation with the Centinela Valley Union High School District is conducting a shoe collection to help homeless families i...n the Los Angeles region through the nonprofit Soles4Souls Organization. The effort will culminate on December 12th with a collection drop off at Hawthorne High School, 4859 El Segundo Blvd, Hawthorne, between 9 am and 3 pm. The effort will also provide an opportunity for donors to support Rotary’s scholarship campaign and community service projects through an opportunity drawing that will be conducted at the drop off location. COVID 19 distancing and face covering protocols will be followed. Gently used adult and children size shoes will be distributed to Los Angeles area homeless shelters and agencies that distribute essential supplies and clothing to homeless populations. We had the honor of donating 430 face shields to the nurses and doctors combating #covid19 at Centinela Hospital Medical Center. A much-needed and appreciated donation. Special thanks to the HCTV - Hawthorne Community Television for covering the story.

Check this out! Our Da Vinci Interactor Nabiha Khan raised money and went to Pakistan to build a toilet and shower for a local village. She even used the leftover money to buy toys for the children. What an inspiring story from one of our amazing young leaders!

Hawthorne LAX Lennox Rotary and Kiwanis Club, "A Community Trrbute to recognize & appreciate the Men and Women serving Hawthorne in Fire Service & Law Enforcement. Police Officer Michael Murray and Fire Fighter Sarah Cortez.

The Hawthorne City Council recognizing Jose Diego, Sebastian Gonzalez, Chris Rendon, and Teacher Adviser Huy Hoang, for their unselfish efforts to raise money Polio Plus, Cycling 500 miles to San Francisco. So far they have raised over $5,000 which will vaccinate 8,000 people. You can still donate to www.gofundme.com/pedalforpolio.
